Synthesis optimization and performance study of polycarboxylate superplasticizer
A polycarboxylate slump retainer synthesized from isoprenyl polyoxyethylene ether(TPEG)as the starting raw mate-rial was used to explore the effects of polycarboxylic acid slump retaining agent synthesized with different dosages on the proper-ties of slurry and concrete through single factor adjustment and orthogonal test. The results show that the slump retention of poly-carboxylate can be improved by increasing the dosage of hydroxyethyl acrylate appropriately, the optimal formula for preparing poly-carboxylate superplasticizer is that the dosage of hydrogen peroxide, reducing agent TP 1351,acrylic acid, and hydroxyethyl acrylate are 2.35,0.20,10.33,and 33.97 g,respectively. The polycarboxylate superplasticizer PCE-5 prepared according to the optimal formula can improve the slump retention of concrete without affecting its strength.
