Preparation and performance of pavement brick based on steel slag treated with desulfurization waste liquid
Weakly acidic desulphurization waste liquid was used to treat the steel tailings.Pavement bricks incorporating this treated steel tail slag were designed and fabricated. The microscopic composition of steel tailings was analyzed by ion chromatogra-phy,XRD,FTIR,and TG-DSC,and the effects of different pretreatment method on the compressive strength, flexural strength, and volume stability of steel tailings pavement bricks pavement were studied. The results reveal that the pH of the desulphurization waste liquid increased significantly from 5.70 to 7.36 after soaking the steel tailings.Additionally, the content of f-CaO in the steel tailings underwent a notable 25.3%reduction after treatment with the waste liquid, significantly inhibiting volume expansion and en-hancing the volume stability.Furthermore, the boiling stability and mechanical properties of the developed steel tail slag-based pavement bricks meet the set design standards.
