Study on high temperature resistance of aluminate cement combined with mullite amorphous castable
Amorphous refractory castable were prepared by using different types of aluminate cement and fused mullite, and the changes in linear change rate, apparent porosity, bulk density, mechanical properties and load softening temperature after calci-nation at different temperatures were studied. The phase composition and microstructure were analyzed by XRD,SEM and EDS.The results show that the rate of linear change shows a trend of shrinkage after different calcination temperatures, apparent porosity increases with increasing temperature, and the bulk density increases first and then decreases with increasing temperature. After be-ing calcined at different high temperatures, the bending strength of mullite castable increases continuously with increasing tempera-ture,while the compressive strength decreases continuously with increasing temperature. The softening temperatures of CA80 and CA70 samples under load were the highest, which were 1462 ℃ and 1442 ℃ respectively.
