Plasma treatment modification and molecular grafting enhancement of adhesive force between waterproofing membrane and concrete interface
For the improvement of asphalt-based waterproofing membrane bonding effect on the concrete surface, this paper systematically studied the changes in surface functional groups after surface oxygen, nitrogen and air plasma treatment and molecu-lar grafting of waterproofing membranes. The surface functional groups established through plasma treatment are further modified with polyhydroxy or silyl functional molecules, such as silane reagents, dopamineand lignin,to optimize molecular branching and concrete bonding capacity.Through the contact angle measurement, infrared spectroscopy,XPS and other means,it found that the plasma treatment of modified asphalt-based waterproofing membrane surface shows obvious hydrophilicity changes and the corre-sponding chemical functional group absorption peaks, proving the realization of the plasma treatment of modified surface groups and the success of the branching molecules. It can enhance the bonding effect between waterproof membrane and concrete.
