Collaborative Governance of Regional Discrimination on the Internet from the Perspective of Public Opinion Competition
Due to the openness and interactivity of the internet, previous one-way and small-scale re-gional discrimination behaviors have evolved into large-scale network regional attacks, which have had a nega-tive impact on national unity and social stability. The emergence and spread of online regional discrimination are attributed to the competition and convergence of online public opinion. In terms of public opinion competi-tion,it mainly manifests as regional competition, media competition, and competition among netizens. In terms of public opinion convergence, different groups often form a community due to having a common"ene-my";Opinion leaders and fans,as well as platforms and self media, may also publish and disseminate content that discriminates against regions due to shared interests such as traffic. Therefore,it is necessary to carry out collaborative governance of online regional discrimination from four aspects:diversity and unity, public opin-ion guidance, technological intervention, and media literacy.
