Human-machine game:User Privacy Imagination and Boundary Management in the age of Artificial Intelligence
For a long time,"privacy"has been constructed by the elite expression of the discourse. After entering the era of artificial intelligence, the concept of privacy has three characteristics of"limited control, reasonable flow and dynamic balance".The concept of privacy emphasizing absolute control in the past can no longer achieve logical self-consistency.Based on the theory of communication privacy management, this paper decentralizes the discourse power of privacy expression, and examines how users imagine privacy and manage privacy boundary by interview method. It is found that the privacy in users'imagination is mainly reflected in the"avoidance of technical sight",and there are three states:privacy concept generalization, boundary out of control and naked privacy. In addition, users mainly manage privacy boundaries based on the three rules of subjectivity identification, selective formation and coordination decision-making.From the perspective of sub-jectivity narrative, this paper expects privacy research to further focus on how to shape the humanized trend of technology and build a transparent and visible future in the intelligent society where people and technology co-exist.
