Spiral Production of Community Space:How can Social Organizations Improve the Effectiveness of Community Governance?——A Case Tracking Study
Chinese communities are currently undergoing construction,accompanied by transformations in the functions,roles,and modes of action of social organizations involved in community governance.At this juncture,enhancing the effectiveness of community governance becomes paramount.Drawing insights from a four-year follow-up study of the community governance initiatives led by Social Organization C in Community E,it becomes evident that these social organizations have succeeded in elevating the efficiency of community governance through the implementation of the"spiral production of community space"model.The spiral pro-duction of community space signifies an ongoing process where community space is continually regenerated.Throughout this dynamic process,social organizations strategically alter the production trajectory of communi-ty space,initiating a reconstruction that unfolds in the sequence of"governance space-social space-physi-cal space."As a result,the efficacy of community governance experiences an upward trajectory,leading to a gradual convergence between the governance space and the social space,ultimately fostering a virtuous cycle of self-production within the community space.
