Effect of serum C-reactive protein-to-albumin ratio on short-term prognosis of ovarian cancer patients after intraperitoneal hyperthermia combined with intravenous chemotherapy
Objective To analyze the predictive value of serum C-reactive protein-to-albumin ratio(CAR)on the short-term prognosis of patients with ovarian cancer undergoing intraperitoneal hyperthermia combined with intravenous chemo-therapy.Methods A total of 120 patients with ovarian cancer who underwent cytoreductive surgery in Xinyang Central Hospital from June 2020 to June 2022 were selected as the research subjects. All patients were treated with intraperitoneal hyperthermia combined with intravenous chemotherapy. After 3 cycles of treatment, patients were divided into the poor prognosis group(n=36)and the good prognosis group(n=78)based on the treatment effect. The serum C-reactive protein(CRP)and albumin levels and the CAR before treatment were compared between the two groups.Point-biserial correlation analysis was used to evaluate the relationship between the CAR and the short-term prognosis of ovarian cancer patients after intraperitoneal hyperthermia combined with intravenous chemotherapy. The receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve was used to analyze the predictive value of the CAR on the short-term prognosis of ovarian cancer patients after intraperitoneal hyperthermia combined with intravenous chemotherapy. Results Of the 120 patients with ovarian cancer included in this study,114 completed 3 cycles of standardized treatment.Patients with poor prognosis had higher serum CRP and CAR and lower albumin level than those with good prognosis(P<0.05).Correlation analysis showed that serum CRP and CAR were positively correlated with the short-term prognosis of ovarian cancer patients(P<0.05),and serum albumin was negatively correlated with the short-term prognosis of patients(P<0.05).The ROC curve showed that the sensitivity of serum CRP,albumin and CAR in predicting the short-term prognosis of ovarian cancer patients after intraperitoneal hyperthermia combined with intravenous chemotherapy was 69.40%,89.70%and 80.60%,respectively,and the specificity was 89.70%,77.80%and 92.30%,respectively.The area under the curve was 0.776,0.795 and 0.845,respectively.Conclusion Serum CRP,albumin, and CAR have a certain predictive value for the short-term prognosis of ovarian cancer patients after intraperitoneal hyperthermia combined with intravenous chemotherapy, and CAR has a higher predictive value.
