Klebsiella pneumoniae is a common opportunistic pathogen, and its resistance to multiple antibiotics poses a major challenge to the treatment of infection. In recent years, more and more heteroresistant Klebsiella pneumoniae have been reported.Heterogeneous resistance means that there are clonal subpopulations in the homologous bacterial population that show different sensitivities to a specific antibiotic.Heterogeneous resistance is often associated with treatment failure and recurrence of infection. The phenomenon of heterogeneous resistance in Klebsiella pneumoniae cannot be ignored. However, there is still little comprehensive information on the heteroresistance of Klebsiella pneumoniae in the currently published literature, and clinicians do not pay enough attention to the emergence of heteroresistance of Klebsiella pneumoniae. Therefore,in this article, the definition, detection methods, research status and treatment options of heteroresistance of Klebsiella pneumoniae to various antibiotics are reviewed,in order to provide a valuable reference for the clinical treatment of heteroresistant Klebsiella pneumoniae infection.
