Northeast border cities,as important cultural exchange nodes in ethnic minority regions of China's border areas,are rich in ethnic minority cultural resources.By elucidating and exploring the folk performances and their characteristics in North-east border cities,this paper discusses the important role of folk performances in protecting and inheriting ethnic minority cul-ture,and analyzes the existing problems and their causes of folk performances in Northeast border cities.Based on this,a se-ries of strategies to solve problems are proposed,including government support,community participation,and educational pro-motion,to promote folk performances in Northeast border cities and realize the inheritance and development of ethnic minority culture.
