Objective To analyze the effects of childhood trauma and early maladaptive schema on college students'depression,explore the role of early maladaptive schema in the relationship between childhood trauma and depression.Methods A total of 200 college students were surveyed using the Childhood Trauma Questionnaire,the Young Schema Questionnaire Simplified Edition Chinese the Revised Edition,and the Depression Self-Assessment Scale,and SPSS 24.0 was used for statistical analysis.Results There was a statistically significant sex difference in the overall score of childhood trauma(t=-4.70,P<0.001),and significant gender difference in the early maladptation patten(t=-6.08,P<0.05),there was no statistically significant gender difference in depression.Significant positive correlations were found between childhood trauma and the early maladaptation schema(r=0.413,P<0.01)and depression(r=0.515,P<0.01).According to the analysis of mediation effect,it was found that early maladaptive schema played a complete mediating role between childhood trauma and depression in college students.Conclusion Childhood trauma has an impact on depression in college students through the mediating effect of early maladaptive schemas.
