Relationship between professional commitment and learning behavior engagement among vocational school students majoring in automotive manufacturing:the mediating role of self-efficacy
Objective To explore the relationship and mechanism between professional commitment and learning behavior engagement among vocational school students majoring in automotive manufacturing.Methods A questionnaire survey was conducted among 387students in three vocational schools in Nanning,Liuzhou,and Guilin,Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region,using the Professional Commitment Scale,Learning Behavior Engagement Scale,and Self Efficacy Scale.Results ①Professional commitment and self-efficacy of vocational school students majoring in automotive manufacturing were highly positively correlated with learning behavior engagement(r=0.865,0.826;P<0.01),and professional commitment was significantly positively correlated with self-efficacy(r=0.740,P<0.01);②Self efficacy played a mediating role between professional commitment and learning behavior engagement among vocational school students majoring in automotive manufacturing,with a mediating effect value of 0.3080 and a proportion of 35.2%.Conclusion Professional commitment of vocational school students majoring in automotive manufacturing not only directly predicts learning behavior engagement,but also indirectly affects learning behavior engagement through self-efficacy.
