Relationship between parents'confidence in children's career planning and parental stress after the implementation of"double reduction"policy:the moderating effects of grade
Objective To explore whether effective career planning predict lower parental stress with the implementation of the"double reduction"policy, and whether this relationship is regulated by grade level. Methods A total of 1 002 parents from primary school to high school were investigated by using the Parenting Stress Index Short Form and Career Exploration and Decision Self-Efficacy Scale(CDS),while controlling the role of parents and their recognition of the"double reduction"policy. Results Parents'recognition of the"double-reduction"policy,their confidence in children's career planning, children's grades, and parental stress were correlated(r=-0.218,-0.420,-0.072,P<0.001).The more confident the parents were in their children's career planning and the more they recognized the significance of"double-reduction"policy,the lower the parental stress was.The higher the grades, the more perdictive the parents'confidence in children's career planning was. Conclusion Parents'confidence in their children's career planning may be an effective way to reliere the parental stress, and it has grade effect.
