Overview of the Nestorian Research in China over the last two Decades
This article reviews the international trend and the major achievements of the Nestorian research in China over the last twenty years.These include the increase of monographs and the standardis-ation of research,the emergence of a new wave of research interests evoked by the discoveries and publi-cations of new materials,as well as the substantial progresses in new research themes such as the art his-tory,the Nestorian development after the Tang Dynasty,and its transformations from the Tang all the way through to the Yuan Dynasty.At the end of the article,the interpretation of the Nestorian documents from the western region and the latest advancements and research significance of the Nestorian archaeolo-gy in Xinjiang are also reviewed.
