Tibetan opera and Monba opera are both important components of traditional Chinese opera.Due to the close geographical and cultural relationship between the Tibetan and Monba ethnic groups,Monba opera is deep-ly influenced by the Chong-gye spun-bdun genre of Tibetan opera, the Tashi Sholpa(white masked Tibetan op-era).Meanwhile,due to the unique natural environment and cultural ecological context in which they has existed, they have formed their own distinct artistic characteristics. The article compares the traditional repertoire of the Chong-gye spun-bdun Opera and Menba Opera,in addition to opera melody, drum and cymbal accompaniment, performance forms, costumes and props so as to sort out and explore the origin relationship and artistic represen-tation forms of the two operas. It is believed that Monba Opera has drawn on and assimilated the Chong-gye spun-bdun genre of Tibetan opera, which have multiple impacts on the formation of Menba Opera's artistic form.At the same time, having integrated Monba folk songs and dances'artistic expression forms and aesthetic expres-sions,Monba Opera not only demonstrates the rich characteristics of the Monba ethnic group, but also reveals the innovation of the Monba ethnic opera artists,as well as their pursuit on artistic expression and aesthetic taste in their own ethnic and regional contexts, highlighting the more natural and regional characteristics of the artistic performance of the Monba ethnic opera.
