On the Historical Figures"khri-sum-rje"of the Tubo
As early as in the Tubo period,there were many historical figures named"khri-sum-rje"in Tibet.In both Tibetan and Han-Chinese historical materials,"khri-sum-rje"can be found repeatedly as a prefix of names,and in Han-Chinese,it was written as"绮心儿""乞心儿""骑心儿"and"起律心儿".Because of their great achievements in the interaction and integration of the Han and Tibetan people and in their cultural ex-change,as·well as in the national unity,the historical figures named"khri-sum-rje"have attracted the attention of the academic circles at home and abroad.So far,many studies have been done specially to explore their sur-names,lives and achievements,which has built a good foundation for the in-depth study of'khri-sum-rje'.The article discusses the basic connotation of the term"khri-sum-rje"and its roles and changes in names based on'The Old Tibetan Annals'and the relevant records in other Tibetan and Chinese documents.
