Research on the Integration of Daily Dietary Practices in Multi-Ethnic Counties from the Perspective of Forging a Strong Sense of Community for the Chinese Nation-A Case Study of Songpan County in Sichuan Province
Songpan County,a spontaneously formed multi-ethnic county in history,is inhabited by four ethnic groups mainly:Tibetan,Qiang,Hui,and Han.In the context of deepening ethnic interaction,the integration of daily dietary practices among the various ethnic groups in Songpan County has become increasingly notable.In the daily production and life practice,all ethnic groups in Songpan County have formed a food culture of eating and drinking together due to the deepening of contact with each other.Regional culinary specialties are loved by all.The food culture of mutual respect,tolerance and sharing has formed a set of conventional behavioral logic of daily interactions between various ethnic groups in Songpan,This culture,in turn,plays a role in shaping harmo-nious inter-ethnic relations,and is manifested in the compatibility of local ethnic groups for halal catering and the symbolization and blurring boundaries of Halal catering.Diet,as a boundary of cultural identity among eth-nic groups,despite its certain stability,is gradually being broken through in the daily harmonious interactions among the various ethnic groups in Songpan County.Moreover,this has nurtured a sense of regional identity.The case of Songpan County provides insights for the practice of forging a strong sense of community for the Chinese nation in that paying attention to micro-level positive inter-ethnic interactions,which is conducive to shaping a sense of community,so as to condense a new"me"among the"others".
