From Wang Yangming to Lu Xun:A Comparative Analysis of Conscience Experience and Critical Spirit
There are notable similarities between Wang Yangming 's concept of conscience experience and Lu Xun's critical spirit.Wang Yangming exposed the hypocrisy of pseudo-Taoism from the perspective of the 'innate conscience'.In contrast,Lu Xun's critique focused on the individual's 'ignorance and weakness' in order to highlight the alienation of feudal rites and encourage self-reflection.Wang Yangming's objective was to prompt the awakening of the individual's 'conscience',which he hoped would in turn lead to the awakening of the public's 'conscience'.This is also the approach taken by Lu Xun in his critical spirit.
