Dilemmas and Diversion in Peer Interaction of Hearing Impaired Young Children in the Context of Integrated Education
In the context of integrated education, positive peer interactions can significantly enhance the cognitive abilities and social interactions of young children.T herefore,it is essential to foster positive peer interactions.Typical cases demonstrate that young children with hearing impairment encounter typical difficulties in peer interactions, including misunderstanding of interaction objects, negative interaction behaviours and a narrow scope of interactions. This paper analyses the causes of these difficulties and proposes solutions.Firstly,it is recommended that empathy and acceptance of hearing-impaired young children by ordinary young children should be increased. Secondly,it is proposed that natural interventions should be employed to improve the social skills of hearing-impaired young children.Thirdly,it is suggested that a peer-help mechanism should be established to broaden the scope of interactions of hearing-impaired young children.
