Collection and Significance of Physical Geological Data of Yingping-Chuanyandong Ore Section of Wengfu Phosphate Deposit in Guizhou
Based on the study of physical geological data collection and the background of diagenesis and metallogenesis in the important mining section of Yingping-Chuanyandong in the Wengfu mining area,it was discovered that this mining area has a high archive value of phosphate deposits, which is of great significance for the study of the background of diagenesis and metallogenesis. The phosphorite system in the Wengfu mining area is mainly concentrated in the B ore layer and the lower A ore layer of the fourth segment(Pt33d4)of the Sinian Doishanto Group. The notable lithological changes from the lower till to the overlying strata reflect the following diagenesis and mineralization background:①The evolution of the Rodinia supercontinent during the Neoproterozoic-Early Paleozoic period promoted the development of bio-enriched phosphorus, triggering the Wengan massive biological outbreak during roughly 580 Ma in the late Doishantuo period, approximately 50 Ma earlier than the Chengjiang biological outbreak.②The phosphate deposits of the Doishantuo period are mainly located in the shallow shoals on the edge of the plateau in the Wengfu-Kaiyang area, suggesting that there is prospecting potential for such deposits in the strata of the Doishanto Group.③With the westward movement during the Dengying period, there is a likely large-scale prospecting potential for Dengying-period phosphate deposits in the approximately 400 km region from Zhijin to Kunyang,Yunnan.④The enrichment of heavy rare earth elements in the Xinhua phosphate deposits in Zhijin and the presence of mantle-derived lead in the Wengfu phosphate deposits both indicate potential for large-to ultra-large-scale turbidite deposits and new types of mineral deposits in the strata along the Zhijin-Wengfu area from the Neoproterozoic to the Early Paleozoic period.
