Design and Construction of a Competition Model for Undergraduates in Urban Underground Space Engineering
The topic of the 6th National Model Design Competition for Undergraduates in Urban Underground Space Engineering is the design and construction of large-span underground space projects,which requires the use of white cardboard to make the model with sufficient load-bearing and deformation-resistant capacity,while the mass as small as possible.Taking the works of Anhui University of Science and Technology as an example,the structure model was optimized and analyzed in terms of the material mechanical properties,conceptual design,theoretical calculation,numerical optimization,and manufacturing process.Finally,the model loading test was completed,and the settlement of the model structure was only 5.40 mm when it was subjected to a full load of 20 kg.Model design competition is a scientific and technological practice activity to cultivate students'innovation and practical ability,meanwhile,it is also a useful supplement and extension of classroom teaching.
