A Study of Preparation and Performance of Superhydrophobic Self-cleaning Surface with 6061 Aluminium Alloy
The 6061 aluminium alloy is a material that is widely used in the production of high-strength,lightweight forged aluminium alloy wheels and components in a number of specialist sectors, including aerospace, rail transportation and engineering equipment. The complexity of the scenarios in which aluminium alloy wheels are used, including contact with and adherence to substances such as mud, water, raw materials and chemical raw materials, increases the likelihood of corrosion occurring. This paper addresses the corrosion problem of 6061 aluminium by preparing a superhydrophobic surface with 6061 aluminium alloy as the substrate. The effects of different electrolyte concentrations, preparation voltages and preparation times on the hydrophobic properties of the aluminium alloy are investigated, and an optimal process is selected. The electrolytic mixture comprised hydrogen peroxide(H2O2 30%)and potassium chloride solution(2 mol/L),with a corrosion voltage of 10 V and a processing time of 45 seconds. The resulting superhydrophobic surface of the aluminium alloy exhibites a strong self-cleaning property, offering an effective anti-corrosion process for the 6061 aluminium alloy surface.
