Will Urban Housing Purchase Increase Farmers'Willingness of Homestead Paid Withdrawal?
Revitalizing idle land resources in rural areas is of great significance for the development of rural industries and the continuous increase of farmers'income. The article takes 434 households in District A of Jiangxi Province as samples and empirically finds that farmers purchasing houses in urban areas will increase their willingness to withdraw from their homesteads. There are differences in farmers'willingness to withdraw their homesteads in different areas.Farmers in urban villages or suburban areas have weaker willingness to withdraw their homesteads than those in non-urban villages or subur-ban areas. The mediating effect of education level exists, and an increase in the education level of farmers will weaken the positive impact of urban housing purchase on homestead paid withdrawal. In order to increase farmers'willingness of home-stead paid withdrawal and improve the efficiency of homestead allocation,we need to strengthen the promotion and interpreta-tion of the policy of homestead paid withdrawal, increase subsidies or preferential treatment for farmers who withdraw their homesteads when purchasing houses in urban areas, increase the renovation of urban villages or suburban rural areas, and further improve the social security system.
