Development Status,Realistic Challenges and Policy Suggestions of China's Rural Old-age Care:Based on Survey Data from 2,328 Rural Elderly People Across the Country
Solving China's rural old-age problem is an objective requirement for rural revitalization.Based on research data from 2,328 rural elderly people in China,it has been found that the current rural old-age care presents a situation of insuffi-cient financial security,imperfect old-age security systems,mismatched supply and demand for old-age care services,and an overall low evaluation of old-age care services and personal life satisfaction.Rural old-age care is faced with the challenges of insufficient economic resources,a single dietary structure,an inadequate medical security system and insufficient spiritual comfort for the elderly.In order to promote the high-quality development of rural old-age services,we put forward policy rec-ommendations to enhance the capacity of rural social security for old-age care,establish a system of assisted feeding services,improve the level of health services and enrich spiritual and cultural life.
