Cultural Identity and Village Endogenous Development:Comparative Analysis Based on Multiple Cases
Leveraging the driving force of farmers and achieving endogenous development in rural areas is an important top-ic for consolidating poverty alleviation achievements and promoting rural revitalization. As an important component of rural so-ciety,village culture plays an important role at both individual and collective levels. The study focuses on the perspective of farmers and constructs a theoretical framework based on cultural identity mechanisms to analyze the coupling mechanism and dynamic changes of village culture with economic development in the process of cultural consciousness.Three typical villages with different locations and levels of development, including village culture, ethnic characteristic culture, and Jin Shang cul-ture in the Central Plains, are selected for multiple cases analysis. The results indicate that cultural identity is naturally gen-erated in the process of cultural consciousness of farmer subjects, and drives the endogenous development of villages through the accumulation of human capital and the promotion of collective actions.
