Taking the example of the construction project of densely reinforced beams and col-umns in Phase 2C of Block 15 public housing in the southern area of Tianjin Eco-city,this analy-sis highlights various challenges.The limited space for reinforcing bar binding in the construction process often leads to non-compliance with spacing regulations,resulting in issues such as colli-sions between beam and column reinforcement,discrepancies in the quantity of reinforcement,and complex processing procedures with a high rate of wastage.To address these challenges,a combination of BIM(Building Information Modeling)technology and lean construction tech-niques was employed.Leveraging Revit,a three-dimensional model of the beam-column nodes was constructed,and parametric analysis was conducted to optimize the reinforcement layout.This approach effectively resolved construction difficulties,including reinforcement clashes and clearance issues.Additionally,the application of BIM technology assisted in achieving intelligent reinforcement processing,improving processing efficiency,and reducing production losses.The utilization of BIM not only addressed construction challenges but also demonstrated significant value in enhancing productivity and reducing material wastage.
