Through research and visits to traditional villages in northern Jiangsu,the physical condition and health needs of the elderly were summarized.Many problems with the health land-scape were found,and the design methods and principles of the health landscape in traditional vil-lages in northern Jiangsu were proposed to address the demands of the elderly for adaptive aging.The application of adaptive aging needs in the design of the health garden landscape project of Sh-ilou Elderly Care Base in Xili Village,Liguo Town,Tongshan,Xuzhou was also elaborated,in order to provide a refined and livable health landscape environment for the elderly in traditional villages,enhance the diversity of elderly activities,and provide reference for future research on health landscapes that meet the aging needs of rural areas in northern Jiangsu and other regions.
