Bird diversity is an important indicator of ecological conservation.In order to further understand the di-versity composition of birds in Lhasa city in autumn and grasp their residence information,a survey on bird diversity was carried out in five counties and three districts of Lhasa city in the autumn of 2021.A total of 88 species of birds of 12 orders,34 families were recorded.In terms of faunal composition,there were 58 species of birds in the Palearc-tic realm,5 species of birds in the Oriental realm,19 species of widely distributed birds,and 6 species of endemic birds.As for the residency type,there were 64 species of resident birds,4 species of summer migratory birds,12 spe-cies of winter migratory birds,and 8 species of travalling birds.In terms of the relationship between habitat and bird diversity,shrublands had the highest degree of bird diversity.In Lhasa,the Passerines accounted for the largest pro-portion of autumn birds,while the Anseriformes had the largest number.Endangered and protected bird species in-cluded 6 species of the national first-class protected birds and 10 species of the national second-class protected birds.According to the Red List of Biodiversity in China,there were 1 species as"Endangered",6 species as"Vulnerable"and 8 species categorized as"Near Threatened".As classified by the IUCN,there were 2 species as"Vulnerable",2 species as"Endangered"and 5 species categorized as"Near Threatened".Additionally,there were 2 species listed in the CITES Appendix Ⅰ and 11 species listed in Appendix Ⅱ.
