The Tibetan Plateau is known for its unique natural environment, rich biodiversity, and the beauty of the"Roof of the World",which has attracted widespread attention from all over the world. As an important part of the Ti-betan Plateau, insect diversity not only has far-reaching significance for understanding biological evolution,ecologi-cal balance and the impact of human activities, but also enriches the understanding of insect diversity.Insects act as pollinators to maintain vegetation continuity. They also as predators, can act as natural enemies of agriculture.Edible insects can serve as a source of protein for humans, while some insects can also respond to environmental changes. The study of insect diversity on the Tibetan Plateau provides research materials in-depth for the fields not limited to biogeography and insect taxonomy. The purpose of this study is to review the research progress of insect diversity on the Tibetan Plateau in recent years, and to provide a reference for subsequent research.
