As the core component of the modern school governance system,governing schools according to law is not only an important measure to promote the rule of law in education,but also the key factor to achieve the modern-ization of the school governance system and governance capacity.Starting from the connotation of governing schools according to law,this paper analyzes the existing problems in school governance and the necessity of governing schools according to law,discusses the important role of governing schools according to law in the construction of a modern school governance system,and puts forward specific paths and measures to promote governing schools ac-cording to law.
