A Brief Discussion on the Common Birds in Autumn in Pulan County,Ngari Prefecture
The Qinghai-Tibet Plateau is an important part of the Central Asian flyway,and the Himalayas,as a glob-ally important biodiversity hotspot,still have limited research on bird diversity in its western region.In early Septem-ber 2023,this study used point count method to conduct a field survey of common birds in autumn in Pulan County,Ngari Prefecture.Based on the literature downloaded from the China Bird Watching Record Center,a total of 76 spe-cies of birds are common in autumn in this region,belonging to 13 orders and 28 families.Among them,there is 1 species of key protected birds under the national first-class,5 species of key protected birds under the national second-class,1 species of protected birds listed in CITES Appendix Ⅰ,and 5 species of protected birds listed in CITES Appen-dix Ⅱ.There are 3 endangered species,1 vulnerable species,and 1 endangered species listed in the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species.There are 4 endangered species,2 vulnerable species,and 1 endangered species listed in the Red List of Vertebrates in China.The conservation value of bird resources in this county is high.The analysis shows that there are 55 palaearctic species,7 oriental species,11 widespread species and 3 endemic species to Xizang in autumn.The analysis of residence type shows that there are 22 species of resident birds and 54 species oftraveling birds.This survey not only enriches the basic data of common bird communities in Pulan County,Ali Prefecture,but also pro-vides a scientific basis for the conservation of bird resources in this area.
