Simulation study on the efficiency and head of high-altitude centrifugal pump with inducer clearance
In order to solve the problem of cavitation erosion and failure of a certain type of centrifugal pump in Xi-zang(Tibet),and to explore the influence of different inducer blade end clearances on the efficiency and head of the centrifugal pumps, this study selected 7 representative centrifugal pump working conditions based on the Mixture multiphase turbulence model, and carried out the three-dimensional constant calculation of the whole flow channel of the centrifugal pumps. The numerical simulation results show that when the inducer clearance is L2 and the value is 2cm,the overall flow channel pressure and the minimum pressure of the centrifugal pump are effectively improved, the efficiency reaches the highest, and the head also meets the design requirements, which not only ensures the over-all anti-cavitation performance of the centrifugal pump, but also ensures the compactness of the overall structure of the centrifugal pump.
