Description of Five Newly Recorded Species of Lymantriidae in Xizang(Lepidoptera:Erebidae)
There are abundant species of Lymantriidae in Xizang, and five newly recorded species in Xizang were found in the collation and identification of specimens of Lymantriidae in Nyingchi area. The five newly recorded Xi-zang species were Ilema chloroptera(Hampson,1892),Lymantria mathura Moore,1865,Ilema caperata(Chao,1986),comb.nov.Calliteara grotei(Moore,1859),and Aroa substrigosa Walker,1855.This paper describes in detail the appearance characteristics and genital characteristics of the adults of the recorded species, and provides clear adult pictures, genital pictures and distribution information at home and abroad, which provides a theoretical basis for the future exploration of the taxonomy of Lymantriidae. The research specimen is now stored in the Institute of Plateau Ecology,Tibet Agricultural and Animal Husbandry University.
