Study on the Compatibility of Prescriptions for the Treatment of Constipation in Ti-betan Medicine
Objective The purpose of this study was to explore the medication rules of Tibetan medicine for the treatment of constipation through data mining techniques,in order to provide a theoretical basis for the development and utilization of Tibetan medicine prescriptions.Method The study applies Excel pivot tables for preprocessing Ti-betan medicine prescription data, followed by data mining through SPSS Modeler 18,and a complex network was constructed by Gephi 0.10 to visualize the relationship of prescriptions for constipation treatment in Tibetan medi-cine.The research data were sourced from the prescriptions for the treatment of constipation recorded in Tibetan med-icine classics such as the Four Medical Tantras and Practical Red Volume,.Data mining techniques such as associa-tion rules were applied to analyze commonly used drugs, formulation rules and core drug combinations. Results A to-tal of 62 constipation formulas for different etiologies(such as Lung,Tripa,Bekan, trauma, insects, etc.)were sorted out and analyzed.Among all the prescriptions, the total frequency of the drug was 214 times,of which 32 durgs were used more than twice. The most frequently used drugs included alkali flowers,Terminalia chebula, and rhubarb, with frequencies of 13.55%,11.21%and 9.81%respectively.Conclusion The data mining results of this study indicate that the core medications for treating constipation in Tibetan medicine are primarily those with the efficacy of reduc-ing"Lung"and balancing"Chiba".Commonly used medication combinations include rhubarb-Terminalia chebula and rhubarb-alkali flowers. The results of this study reveal the medication characteristics and compatibility patterns for treating constipation in Tibetan medicine, providing a scientific basis for clinical medication and data support for the research and development of new Tibetan medicine formulas.
