Analysis of the Screening Results for 840 Female Patients with Pelvic Floor Function in Lhasa City
The purpose of this study was to investigate the incidence of pelvic floor dysfunction(PFD)in wom-en in Lhasa and surrounding cities,and to explore the possible influencing factors.Methods A total of 840 patients with pelvic floor function screening in the gynecological pelvic floor rehabilitation clinic of Lhasa People's Hospital were selected as the study subjects,and the standard screening process and diagnostic criteria were used.The patients were comprehensively evaluated by questionnaires,manual muscle strength classification test and the POP-Q pro-lapse score.Results Of the 840 patients who participated in screening,87.98%were followed up at 42 days postpar-tum,87%had muscle strength abnormalities(730 cases),and the incidence of PFD was 72%(605 cases).Urinary in-continence accounted for the highest proportion of the PFD,followed by pain,sexual dysfunction,symptomatic Ⅲ°~Ⅵ° POP and fecal incontinence.The detection rates were 37.50%,16.79%,11.67%,5.95%and 0.12%.respective-ly.Analysis of related factors including age,number of births,delivery mode and education level were risk factors for PFD(P<0.05).Increased number of births,increasing age,low literacy,and vaginal birth increase the risk of PFD.Conclusion The incidence of pelvic floor dysfunction in women in Lhasa and surrounding cities is high.The local population has a low awareness rate of PFD.Health education should be carried out for the population,and the pelvic floor function screening should be included in health examination items for early diagnosis,treatment and health guidance.
