In the early days,Hua Jitian was engaged in business activities in Yunnan and Sichuan and once served as the magistrate of Kangding County,Sichuan.After the full-scale outbreak of the War against Japanese Agression,Hua Jitian entered Xizang to do business and became an official of the central institution stationed there.During Wu Zhongxin's entry into Xizang to preside over the enthronement ceremony of the 14th Dalai La-ma,Hua Jitian completed various tasks under his responsibility well.After Kong Qingzong took charge of the work of the office stationed in Xizang,the contradiction between the two became increasingly acute.Hua Jitian was mar-ginalized and finally had to leave.
