Taking 10 prefecture-level cities in Huaihai Economic Zone from 2003 to 2021 as the research sample,the SBM-Malmquist index was utilized to measure green economic growth.An econometric model was employed to stud-y the direct impact of industrial structure changes on green economic growth,and the intermediary effect of green in-novation was tested.The results showed that the rationalization and upgrading of industrial structure had significant positive effects on green economic growth.The analysis of intermediary effects demonstrated that green innovation was an effective transmission path to promote the rationalization of industrial structure and the growth of green e-conomy.However,it also weakened the positive effect of advanced industrial structure on green economic growth.Based on this,it was recommended that the industrial structure should be optimized continuously,the positive effects of green innovation should be strengthened through targeted policies,and the promoting role of green innova-tion in improving the industrial structure and green economic growth should be fully utilized.
