Spatial reconstruction of industrial and mining areas triggered by tourism development:taking Pan'an Lake region in Xuzhou as an example
Tourism development is an important means to promote the spatial reconstruction of industrial and mining areas.In the context of tourism development,the process,characteristics and its driving mechanism of spatial re-construction of traditional industrial and mining areas promoted by tourism development and construction are ana-lysed by taking the example of Xuzhou Pan'an Lake industrial and mining area.The study finds that the tourism de-velopment of Pan'an Lake regional industrial and mining area has gone through four stages:germination,start-up,development and stabilization.Along with the advancement of regional tourism development,the spatial reconstruc-tion of industrial and mining areas is characterized by:firstly,the expansion of urban land and the reduction of ara-ble land,but the rustic characteristics of natural space are still prominent,and ecological space expands with ecolog-ical restoration and reconstruction;secondly,the optimization and upgrading of industrial structure,the rapid devel-opment of living class and ecological tourism service industry,and the spatial concentration of service industry;thirdly,the ecological living space gets further livable,life quality improved,and recreational facilities further up-graded.The spatial reconstruction was the result of a combination of resource and environmental changes,govern-ment planning,the introduction of social capital and the integrated urban-rural demand.
