Breeding and identification of a new sweetpotato variety Qining 26 with high starch content and high quality
Qining 26 was a new sweetpotato variety with high starch content and high quality.It was bred by open pollination with Jishu 21 as the female parent.Results of selection trial and quality analysis showed that the average dry matter rate of Qining 26 storage root in plain areas and hilly areas was 32.28％and 40.39％,respectively.The storage root was spindle-shaped,with red skin and light-yellow flesh,and its formation was concentrated and in or-der.It had good commercial characteistics and taste quality.Qining 26 was resistant to root rot disease,fusarium wilt disease and type Ⅰ bacterial wilt disease,moderately resistant to type Ⅱ bacterial wilt disease.It received the non-major Crop Variety Registration Certificate in 2023 with the number GPD Sweetpotato(2023)370015.In 2024,Qining 26 also obtained the plant variety right with the number CNA20221002661.
