Statistical measurement of the impact of the digital economy on high-quality agricultural development
Panel data on the digital economy and high-quality agricultural development across 31 provinces in China from 2011 to 2020 were collected.Spatial econometric models and panel threshold models were utilized to explore the impact of the digital economy on high-quality agricultural development. The following conclusions were reached:the digital economy has become an important driving force for high-quality agricultural development, with a signifi-cant positive spatial spillover effect. The development of the digital economy in each province and its neighboring provinces can significantly promote high-quality agricultural development in that province. When digital economic development itself is used as a threshold variable,as its development level rises, the promoting effect on high-quality agricultural development shows a trend from strong to weak. When the year is taken as the threshold variable, the digital economy demonstrates a positive V-shaped impact on the high-quality development of agriculture. When transportation network density is taken as the threshold variable,as the network density increases, the promoting effect of the digital economy on the high-quality development of agriculture will also continue to strengthen.
