Effect of industrial structure optimization on green development in Huaihai Economic Zone
Promoting green development is an essential pathway to construct an ecological civilization system and cre-ate a beautiful China.By integrating carbon emission data into the analysis model for green development, utilizing panel data of Huaihai Economic Zone spanning 2007 to 2020 and introducing quantile regression models, the spatio-temporal characteristics of the effect of optimizing industrial structure on green development are analyzed. The re-sults show that the green total factor productivity(GTFP)in Huaihai Economic Zone exhibited a fluctuating trend of initial decline followed by an increase during the study period, with a core-edge spatial pattern. The medium-effi-ciency region expanded, indicating continuous progress in the green development process within Huaihai Economic Zone.At different quantile levels, the promotion effect of industrial structure upgrading on GTFP initially decreased and then increased, while industrial structure rationalization demonstrated an initial increase followed by a decrease phenomenon. When GTFP is at a high level, industrial structure rationalization has a greater leverage than industrial structure optimization. In promoting the green transformation of industrial structure,it should pay attention to the unbalanced characteristics of regional development, formulate differentiated industrial policies according to the level of green total factor productivity, and promote the realization of green sustainable development in Huaihai Economic Zone.
