Spatio-temporal distribution and influencing factors of intangible cultural heritage in Huaihai Economic Zone
Intangible cultural heritage(ICH)holds immense value in terms of history,literature,art,and science.The study of the spatio-temporal distribution characteristics and underlying mechanisms of ICH is a crucial initiative for the implementation of the regional holistic protection requirements and the promotion of the sustainable preserva-tion of such heritage.In this paper,the spatio-temporal distribution characteristics and the underlying driving mech-anisms of the existing 605 national and provincial intangible heritage projects in Huaihai Economic Zone are analyzed with the methods of GIS spatial analysis,geographic detectors,graphical visualization,etc.The results show that:the ICH of the Huaihai Economic Zone has a strong historical continuity,and the ICH projects cover the entire his-torical development stages with the Ming and Qing dynasties and the period of the Republic of China being the key nodes in the development of ICH;the spatial distribution of ICH in Huaihai Economic Zone is characterized by strong aggregation,forming a development pattern of"three cores and five sub-centers,dense in the west and sparse in the east";from the perspective of migration center,the ICH of Huaihai Economic Zone presents a general spatio-temporal evolution characteristic of"moving in zigzags from the east,and then towards south from the north"with the Sui and Tang dynasties and Zaozhuang as the demarcations of time and space;the spatio-temporal differentiation of ICH in Huaihai Economic Zone results from the joint influence of natural geography,social economy,historical culture,and policy environment,with population influencing the most,and then rivers,transportation,culture,to-pography,industrialization level,urbanization level,climate,policies,and economic output value in sequence.Thus,the cities in Huaihai Economic Zone should further strengthen exchanges and cooperation,improve the mech-anism for collaborative protection of ICH,bring forth new ideas in the inheritance and utilization model of ICH,and fully tap into the advantages of ICH resources to constantly enhance the driving force of culture for economic devel-opment and let the achievements of ICH more benefit to the people.
