Clinical Study on Ningshen Wendan Decoction Combined with Acupuncture for Schizophrenic Auditory Hallucinations
Objective:To observe the curative effect of Ningshen Wendan Decoction combined with acupuncture on schizophrenic auditory hallucinations.Methods:A total of 106 cases of patients with schizophrenic auditory hallucinations admitted to the Psychiatric Ward of Shaoxing Seventh People's Hospital from April 2021 to April 2023 were selected and divided into the control group and the observation group according to the random number table method,with 53 cases in each group.The control group was treated with conventional electroconvulsive therapy(ECT),and the observation group was additionally treated with Ningshen Wendan Decoction combined with acupuncture based on the treatment of the control group.Clinical effects and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Changes in traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores,Scale for Assessment of Positive Symptoms(SAPS)scores,and MILLER Hallucination Scale scores in the two groups were compared before and after treatment.Results:The total effective rate was 96.23%(51/53)in the observation group and 79.25%(42/53)in the control group,with a significant difference between the two groups(P＜0.05).After treatment,SAPS scores and traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P＜0.05),and the SAPS score and traditional Chinese medicine syndrome score in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P＜0.05).MILLER Hallucination Scale scores in the two groups were reduced when compared with those before treatment(P＜0.05),and the MILLER Hallucination Scale score in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(P＜0.05).No severe adverse reaction was observed in either group.Conclusion:Ningshen Wendan Decoction combined with acupuncture has a good curative effect in treating schizophrenic auditory hallucinations,which can alleviate clinical symptoms related to schizophrenia and auditory hallucinations.
