Clinical Study on Wenjing Huoxue Decoction Combined with Ibnprofen for Primary Dysmenorrhea
Objective:To observe the effects of Wenjing Huoxue Decoction combined with Ibnprofen on primary dysmenorrhea and its impact on prostaglandin F2α(PGF2α)and endothelin-1(ET-1).Methods:A total of 80 cases of patients with primary dysmenorrhea treated at Cangnan Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from March 2021 to March 2023 were selected and divided into the Chinese medicine group and the western medicine group according to the random number table method,with 40 cases in each group.The western medicine group was given Ibnprofen,and the Chinese medicine group was additionally treated with Wenjing Huoxue Decoction based on the treatment given to the western medicine group.Both groups were treated for six menstrual cycles.Clinical effects in the two groups were evaluated;traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores,levels of PGF2α and ET-1,and quality of life scores in the two groups were compared before and after treatment;adverse reactions were recorded.Results:There was no significant difference being found in the comparison of the total effective rates between the two groups(P＞0.05);the curative obvious rate in the Chinese medicine group was higher than that in the western medicine group(P＜0.05).After treatment,the traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P＜0.05),with the Chinese medicine group scoring lower than the western medicine group(P＜0.05).After treatment,levels of PGF2α and ET-1 in the two groups were reduced when compared with those before treatment(P＜0.05),with the Chinese medicine group showing lower levels than the western medicine group(P＜0.05).After treatment,the scores of World Health Organization Quality of Life-BREF(WHOQOL-BREF)in the two groups were improved when compared with those before treatment(P＜0.05),with the Chinese medicine group scoring higher than the western medicine group(P＜0.05).No adverse reactions such as nausea,vomiting,rash,or dizziness were observed in either group.Conclusion:Wenjing Huoxue Decoction combined with Ibnprofen can effectively alleviate clinical symptoms of patients with primary dysmenorrhea,reduce their pain levels,and improve their quality of life.
