The Gesar Epic tale"the Conquer Four Direction's Demons"begins with"the Conquer the Northern Demon."This tale illustrates the fundamental idea and conventional format of"the Conquer the Demon."When it comes to the tale's genesis,it is evident that it is strongly influenced by Tibetan re-ligion,history,and local culture.It also bears some similarities to other heroic tales from around the world that have a similar plot-heroes taming monsters and evil dragons,for example.The core idea and literary structure of the epic and every other story have not changed throughout the course of thousands of years of development and transmission.Three generally separate inheritance forms-the traditional type,the development type,and the variant type-can be summed up by analyzing fifteen different texts.
