Objective:Objective:To study the application of hyperbaric oxygen in the treatment of acute carbon monoxide poi-soning(AcMP).Methods:68 patients with AcMP treated in emergency department from May 2020 to October 2022 were selected. They were randomly divided into two groups, with 34 patients in each group. The control group received routine treatment, while the observation group received additional hyperbaric oxygen therapy on the basis of the control group. All patients were treated for 10 days, and arterial blood gas parameters[partial pressure of oxygen(PaO2)and partial pressure of carbon dioxide(PaCO2)],time to consciousness recovery, length of hospital stay, and incidence of complications were compared before and after treatment in both groups. Results:After treatment:PaO2 in the observation group was higher and PaCO2 was lower than in the control group(P<0.05);Compared with the control group, the time of consciousness restoration and hospital stay in the observation group were short-er(P<0.05).The total proportion of patients with complications in the observation group(5.88%)was less than that in the control group(23.53%)(P<0.05).Conclusion:Hyperbaric oxygen can assist in improving arterial blood gases in AcMP patients, reduce the incidence of complications, and promote recovery of the patients'condition.
