Objective To explore the effect of health action process approach-based exercise intervention on fall risk in elderly patients with osteoporosis complicated with frailty. Methods Clinical data of 217 elderly patients with osteoporosis and frailty admit-ted to the hospital from January 2022 to December 2022 were retrospectively analyzed.Taking the implementation of health action process approach-based exercise intervention in our department(May 2022)as the dividing line,95 patients who received conven-tional intervention before implementation(from January 2022 to May 2022)were included in control group, and 122 patients who underwent health action process approach-based exercise intervention after implementation(from June 2022 to December 2022)were enrolled as observation group. The changes in fall risk, balance ability and balance confidence were compared between the two groups before intervention and after 3 months of intervention. Results After 3 months of intervention, the fall risk scores in the two groups were decreased compared with those before intervention, and the scores in observation group were lower(P<0.05).The scores of balance ability and balance confidence were increased in both groups, and the scores were higher in observation group(P<0.05).Conclusion Health action process approach-based exercise intervention strategy can help to reduce the fall risk and improve the balance ability and confidence in elderly patients with osteoporosis and frailty.
