Objective To understand the current situation of residents in Lhasa regarding their understanding of on-site first aid knowledge and analyze the main factors that affect their mastery of first aid knowledge.To provide theoretical basis for relevant de-partments to carry out pre hospital first aid training for residents.Methods 981 residents in Chengguan District of Lhasa were inves-tigated before and after on-site emergency intervention using a convenience sampling method and a self-designed questionnaire on emergency knowledge.Results 88.10％(864/981)of residents were eager for on-the-spot first aid knowledge.After the on-site train-ing,the residents had better first aid methods than before the training(p＜0.01).Conclusion After on-site training,the first-aid knowl-edge and skills of Lhasa residents have been significantly improved,which can improve the ability of self-rescue and mutual rescue of residents.
