Objective To explore magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)characteristics of brain glioma(BG)and their relationship with prognosis. Methods A retrospective analysis was performed on the imaging data of 102 patients with BG who underwent preop-erative MRI examination in the hospital between January 2020 and December 2021.All were followed up for 18 months to record MRI characteristics, including tumor size,sites,margin,space-occupying effect and tumor enhancement characteristics. The correlation be-tween MRI signs and prognosis of patients was explored. Results In the 102 patients after 18 months of follow-up,overall survival rate was 41.18%(42/102).Among them, there were 42 cases in survival group and 60 cases in death group. There were no significant difference in tumor sites or fuzzy tumor boundary between the two groups(P>0.05).The proportions of tumor diameter>6cm,obvious space-occupying effect, obvious peritumoral edema, cystic lesions, hemorrhage, necrotic lesions and obvious uneven enhancement of lesions in death group were higher than those in survival group(P<0.05).Conclusion The MRI features of BG patients with tumor di-ameter,space occupying effect, peritumoral edema, cystic change, hemorrhage, necrotic lesions, and significant uneven enhancement of lesions are significantly correlated with the prognosis of patients, and can be used to evaluate the prognosis clinically.
