Adipose tissue is the energy storage place of the body.Recent studies have found that adipose tissue is also a large endocrine gland,which can be involved in regulating a variety of biological functions by secreting adiponectin,leptin and adiponectin.Visfatin,a novel adipokine secreted by white adipose tissue,acts as a multifunctional protein,which is closely related to the development of cardiovascular diseases,participating in such pathophysiological processes as inflammatory response,endothelial dysfunction and vascular remodeling.In recent years,adiponectin and cardiovascular disease have gradually become a hot spot.This article will review the physiological characteristics of internal adiponectin and its relationship with cardiovascular disease,so as to provide new ideas for the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular diseases.
